Use ProposalKit in Claude
ProposalKit works as a connector in Claude. You describe the project and the price, Claude writes the proposal, and ProposalKit turns it into a branded document you can send as a live link or download as a PDF.
Connect it
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and add ProposalKit
from the directory. If it isn't listed for your account yet, choose
Add custom connector, name it ProposalKit, enter
https://api.proposalkit.io/mcp as the server URL, and
pick "Sign in when needed".
What to ask for
Name ProposalKit in your message the first time, then talk about the proposal as you would with a colleague:
- "Use ProposalKit to create a proposal for Northwind Studio: a website refresh, 6 weeks, $12,400."
- "Brand it from my website, example.com."
- "Add an FAQ section and remove the timeline."
- "Publish it as a live link."
- "Give me a PDF instead."
The proposal appears in the chat as a card that updates while Claude writes each section. Claude asks before each change it makes; you can allow ProposalKit's tools for good under Customize, Connectors.
Accounts
Drafting needs no account. A draft made without one stays editable for 30 days. When you publish, Claude asks you to sign in to ProposalKit with Google or your email, and the draft moves into that account. Publishing gives you a live link to send; you get an email the first time your client opens it.
What ProposalKit receives
Only the requests Claude makes to ProposalKit: the proposal details you ask for, never the rest of your conversation. The privacy policy covers this in full.
